Sociology professor/author Janet Poppendieck will present her new book, Free For All: Fixing School Food in America and then participate in a moderated panel, joining Pat Crawford, executive director of UC Berkeley's Center for Weight &  Health; Dominic Machi, director of child nutrition services for Newark Unified School District; and a student advocate. Explore the policy implications raised by Free for All in the context of President Obama's pledge to end childhood hunger by 2015, the increased national focus on reducing childhood obesity, and the challenges and opportunities of Child Nutrition Reauthorization.
